Privacy & support · Updated 20 October 2026

Your discoveries stay with you.

This policy covers Learnlab: Learn How to Learn (Android package uk.aiforge.learnlab) and Learnlab: Family Learning for iPhone, as well as the Learnlab website. Learnlab is published by AI FORGE / Vincent Porquet. For privacy questions or support, contact games@astromust.com.

Android at a glance

The Android TWA loads Learnlab from https://learnlab-independent-learning.vercel.app in your browser. Connect once and keep the app open until it says Ready for offline learning. Downloaded lessons then work offline; browser storage eviction may require another download. There is no sign-in, advertising, in-app purchase, analytics tracker, public chat, or cloud learning account. We do not receive the learning records you enter in the app.

iPhone app

Lessons, fonts and artwork are included in the app. Learner profiles, notes and progress stay in private app storage and are not sent to us. Read-aloud is disabled in this native release. Export uses the iOS share sheet; only a destination you choose receives the backup. Removing the app can remove its local progress. Device backups and restoration are controlled by Apple and your device settings; there is no app-operated cloud sync.

What is stored on your device

The app stores learner nicknames, selected age bands, quest attempts and drafts, answers, review history, learning notes, projects, preferences, and completion records in local storage for the Learnlab website in your browser (or private app storage in the earlier bundled Android version). This lets learners resume work and review it later. Please use nicknames and avoid entering private or sensitive information in learning notes.

Profiles help separate siblings’ work; they are not password-protected accounts. Anyone who can open the app on that device can switch profiles.

Collection and sharing

Learnlab does not send learning records, advertising identifiers, location, contacts, photos, or microphone recordings to us. It contains no advertising or analytics SDK. In the TWA, lessons, fonts and artwork are downloaded from the same Learnlab origin and cached on the device. Vercel hosts the live app and may process ordinary delivery and security request metadata, including IP address, browser details and requested resource paths. This also applies to the Android TWA. Learning answers are not submitted. No behavioural analytics tracker is added. Android backup of the wrapper is disabled; browser storage and any browser backup settings are managed separately by your browser.

If you choose to export a family backup, the app creates a JSON file and, where supported, opens your browser’s sharing options; otherwise it downloads the file. The earlier bundled Android version uses Android’s sharing options. Only choose a destination you trust: the file contains all saved learners and their records. Any recipient or service you select handles that file under its own policies. Import reads only the backup file you explicitly select. The app does not request broad access to your files.

Hosting metadata can include city or country inferred from the IP address, browser/device information, requested resource paths, timestamps, response status and delivery diagnostics. Vercel uses this technical information to deliver content, operate and monitor the hosting service, and prevent abuse. This is required when the app connects to the host; it is not limited to in-memory processing and may be retained in provider logs. It does not include GPS location, learner answers, profiles or practice recordings. Requests use HTTPS. Hosting logs are separate from local learning records and are not erased by clearing the app. See the Vercel privacy notice for its hosting-data practices.

Young people and families

Learnlab is designed for learners aged 13 and over. Parents, carers and teachers are welcome to explore it with them. We do not create online child accounts, ask for real names or email addresses inside the learning experience, or collect children’s learning records. Characters use authored dialogue, not live AI or messages from other people. Adults should handle support requests and sharing backups.

Deleting records and retention

Records remain on your device until you remove a learner through Learner settings or clear the Learnlab website’s data in the browser. The Android TWA shares storage with the same website in its browser. Uninstalling the wrapper or clearing only its app storage may leave browser records intact; clear site data to remove them. Earlier bundled Android records are separate and are removed by clearing that app’s data or uninstalling it. There is no server account for us to delete or recover. Delete exported backup files separately from wherever you saved or shared them. Device loss, browser eviction or clearing data can erase progress; keep a private backup if you want to restore it.

Support messages

If you email games@astromust.com, the mailbox receives your email address and whatever you choose to send. We use this information to respond and resolve your request, not for advertising. Please do not include children’s names, learning backups, or other personal details unless necessary. You may ask us to delete a support conversation; legal or security record-keeping obligations may limit deletion.

The website and external links

The web version stores learning records in your browser. Clearing its site data removes those records. Vercel hosts the website and this policy and may process ordinary network request information, such as IP address, browser details, and requested pages, to deliver and secure the site. Learning answers are not submitted to our server. Fonts are hosted on this same origin and downloaded for offline use. The app requests persistent browser storage where supported, but a private exported backup remains the best recovery option.

The web version offers optional device read-aloud for curated lessons and character dialogue. Depending on your browser and selected voice, the device’s speech provider may process that curated text online. Read-aloud remains disabled in the Android TWA, installed standalone app and earlier bundled Android release. User-written learning notes are not sent to speech services by Learnlab.

Links to research, privacy information, or email may open another app or website. Its own privacy policy then applies. Google Play and Android may separately process installation, security, or diagnostic information under their own settings and policies; Learnlab does not receive individual learning records through those services.

Changes and contact

We will update this page when the app’s data handling changes and revise the date above. Material new collection would require corresponding in-app disclosure before it begins.
